The Marvelous Accommodations

I've gotten all the hotels lined up for our trip up North and West. Now I can focus on doing other things at night - like reading through all the newspapers we've accumulated over the last several days that I haven't read because of kids or internet searches for hotels that will sleep more than 2 people.

I don't have long for this post. There's a shot clinic at the surgery down the road (doctor's office) and I need to get Jules in for her 6-month shots. I'm not looking forward to taking all 3 kids, but this is the time they do it. Every Thursday from 2-3. Hopefully if we get there early we can get in and out quickly.

I FOUND CUBE STEAK TODAY! I just remembered. We went to the ASDA to pick up Julie's pictures and I was going to get a few other things. I thought I'd check their meat section for cube steak and I was rewarded for my efforts. I am going to surprise Steve with his favorite dinner. I even bought enough to freeze half of it in case we want some before I get back to ASDA. I also had tape on my list. I ran out of the Scotch tape I brought with us. So I bought some Sellotape. Yup - you read that right. Sellotape. Sound familiar? How about if I add the letter "p" and make it Spellotape? The longer we're here, the more I discover little nuances of Brit culture that J.K. Rowling tweaked only slightly for her stories.

On a similar note, the A Level students all received their results today. Much like the O.W.L. students getting their results by owl post. I'm going to have to get Steve to talk about the A Levels - apparently they've been discussing it at work lately.

It's 1.50. I need to go.

Oh Sello not Cello. I had it spelled wrong perhaps.
I think I remember Gwen telling me once that
I had it misspelled.

I will have to correct that spelling over on my list.

Oh well. I never actually looked at the name just
used it and the word. It is a brand name thingo again.

No wonder...I thought it was spelled Cello because
it was cellulose based or cellaphane like. Turns out that is exactly how they got the name but they
changed the spelling to Sello for the brand. Like they do here for things...an example evades me at this moment.

The pronouncation made sense to me but when Gwen said I spelled it wrong I thought that was
strange.
