This is our doorbell. It's attached to a pull outside.
This is a picture of our door latches. This particular one is in the upstairs bathroom - the little pull next to it is for the lights. The chain that hangs down is the lock. You put the little stick on the end of the chain in a hole above the lever. The latches are quite high up on the door - at least 4 feet, I think.
This is the post that is in the middle of our kitchen. Not very convenient.

Wow... looks nice. The driver's eye perspective is very different there! :)
Can't wait to see that beautiful countryside, but hopefully, want have to watch either of you drive. You have to have a feather in your cap for just making the best of the driving lanes!
I sure am glad that Stanley never took to the road over there! Can you imagine what it would have been like to have gotten a car with him!!!
