Julie is Marvelous!
Yay! It finally worked! I got Julie in her most favorite pose of all - the "I'm going to do push-ups before I even crawl" pose. When she's in this pose, she bounces up and down.
In case you didn't see it on the Giant's Causeway website, the giant who built the causeway was named Finn MacCool. What an awesome name! Steve decided that it's the kind of name that my little brother would love. So, Little A, whaddya think?
Steve is watching his favorite ad for the Vauxhall Astra car. All these cars doing synchronized driving and all sorts of auto acrobatics, including a car flying through a flaming hoop. He always stops what he's doing to watch this one.
Before I forget, the kids have started sleeping on the floor at night. They put their pillows at the thresholds of their rooms and snuggle up underneath their duvets to listen to the book on cd that we play for them at bedtime. The cd player is out in the hall by our room - not far from either of their rooms, but I think they think they're getting away with something by being on the floor. Silly kids.
Apparently we're going to be missing a music festival this weekend in Reading. The Reading festival. What an original name. Anyway, tens of thousands of people come here for the long weekend to listen to bands and the whole Reading area is overrun by stinky, tent-dwelling hippie-wannabes. Darn. We'll miss the whole experience. We've been told that it's best just to get the groceries you need before the weekend and to hunker down to weather the stinky young hippie storm. Strange to think that most of the stinky young hippies are probably much younger than I am.
Good night!

Marvelous pictures! Marvelous details! Marvelous descriptions of daily life so vivid-almost like being there! It won't be long until "all this" will be experienced by this Auntie-first hand.
Thanks for the intro! Auntie Amarillo
Great minds think alike, DC. My thought on seeing the picture of Julie was, "push fish."
