Run-of-the-Mill Can Be Marvelous, Too

I foresee normalcy in the not-so-distant future. What a relief.

Nothing earth-shattering or very interesting to report today. Got the boys delivered to school & work just fine. The girls and I hung out at home until 10:30, then walked up the street - literally up Pierce's Hill - past 1 house to a house our street dead-ends into. A lady from church, Orla, had invited me over for coffee. She and her husband are from Northern Ireland, so she can commiserate about being in a different country. Another lady, Beth, also from church, came over as well. She has 2 of her 3 boys with her. The youngest is only 2 weeks old and has more hair than Caleb does! Beth lived in Canada for several years, and could also talk about differences in cultures.

When we walked down to school to get Caleb, we found out tomorrow is "Sports Day." I have no idea what that is, but Caleb gets to wear a blue shirt instead of his uniform shirt. He gets to wear blue because that's the color of the flag he was assigned (or chose - I don't know which). It's Argentina. I'll have to ask the teacher a little bit more tomorrow about it...like do I need to come with my camera later in the day?

Tomorrow is Audrey's first official day at Dickory Docks. I'm excited. I don't think she cares right now. She's still flopping around in bed - it's after 9 p.m. and we put the kids to bed 2 hours ago. I think I will have to buy some blackout fabric for their windows. Julie's room has a marvelous blackout shade that works very well - I think C & A would benefit from darkness, too.

I'm going to sign off now. I have a headache and my hand hurts. I think I have arthritis in my left hand. I'm not even 33 and I have aches and pains galore! Caleb asked me today if I was "old." He had playfully hit my hand and made it hurt worse. When I told him why it hurt (possible arthritis), he asked.

Bye.

Haven't had much luck getting a comment on your "Blog Page". But now I'm checking other and perhaps this will go. I'm expecting Lizanne, Jon, and Michael next Monday, 17th, for most of the week. Really enjoy reading your "Nolen News". GIGI

I can certainly understand having a headache with all that goes on in your life right now. Sounds like that things are beginning to show a little more like a normal routine and, at least, you know where everyone is suppose to go and the route to take them! That is an accomplishment in its self!

Tell Caleb that Argentina has a very well respected Rugby side. I like them best behind the All-Blacks in Rugby.

They have pretty powder blue uniforms.

I go to their website to read but it is in Spanish only as far as I can tell. Frustrates me a good bit. Gwen tries to translate but that takes all the fun out of reading it for myself.

I hear Ginger Beer can cause the early onset of arthritis. ;) LOL.
Hope you start feeling better.
