I'm So Frustrated, Which is Not Marvelous
I really hate dial-up. I tell the kids they're not allowed to say "hate" so I usually don't use the word, but it really captures my feelings well. It is so slow and really limits what I can do online. I can't post pictures because something is making it not work. I can't figure it out. Terry - it tells me that it's uploaded the pictures, then they don't show up. GRRRRR.
Plus I can only use the computer upstairs near the closet. I really hate that. I either have to be up here in the heat of the day, or I have to do it at night while Steve is downstairs and the kids are sleeping. Or not sleeping, as the case may be. I want to be downstairs with Steve. I need to be downstairs with the kids during the day. Today they managed to literally tear apart the lounge - couch cushions were everywhere. And I was even on the same floor while this was happening. I was cleaning up the kitchen while they were mayhem-ing in the lounge.
Supposedly on Wednesday the engineer from BT is coming to fix our phone-in-the-closet problem. When that is cleared up, we can get broadband. Be prepared - we might have a new home telephone number. I'll keep you posted.
I'm even more frustrated because I had Julie's 6-month pictures taken today and I can't even e-mail them to anyone because this stupid line is SO SLOW.
So my apologies for those looking for Nolen news here. Hopefully I can spend Wednesday night posting pictures and updates to my little heart's content.
Grrr.

Dear Nolens: At least you don't have a mountain lion in your back yard. That is what they are showing in the Colorado Springs news at 5 PM. The Sykes need to cut some alfalfa and now mountain showers keep coming. Really not complaining as we are cooler than a lot of the US. Some have died in California. Love, GIGI

Hang in there. I sorta figured that the dialup was not doing the job since your production is low for you.
I am not sure of why the images are not getting uploaded but I will think on it and even have a look at how I do it to see if I can find a failure point that can be fixed for you. Have a look at the FAQs for blogspot...and the help. I have found fixes there before when I could not think of them. I will look too since you do not have time and the machine slows what time you get down.
If all else fails then burn cds and send pictures to family and friends that way. We would love to see your new hair do and Julies new picture. We miss you guys big time but know that five more months is not that long. :)

So sorry that things have been so hectic for you right now, but things will get better soon hopefully. Lets hope that the man coming on Wed. knows what he is doing!!!
I know that the computer and phone service have been your outlet to the world, but when you actually get back to the states, you will really appreciate the opportunities that we have over here for communication. We all will gladly wait for the blog news and pictures, so don't worry about getting it all together and sent to us over here. You have your hands full with the children and need a little time in the evenings just for you! Any news that we get is greatly appreciated and we can wait patiently for you when you have the time to do it!

Trouble Shooting Picture Posting
I had trouble getting the spell checker to come up and I had to go into the Mozilla properties and tell it that it was ok for this domain address to let the popup come up for the spell checker. I know I know..hard to tell that use the spell checker but I am trying to not be so sloppy. ;)
