Caleb's Marvelous Vocabulary and SPORTS DAY

Phrases Caleb has adopted:
straightaway = immediately
tomato (with "ah" sound instead of "ay" sound)
rubbish = trash
bit = part *This bit of the orange is rubbish (the peel) and this is the bit you eat (the sections). This is an actual sentence he said to me the other day.

-----------------------------------
Sports Day is a big deal at school. We did a little obstacle course. We had to run to the bench, do some balancing on it, them jump off, and then go through a little tube, and then we had to jump over a stick (it was like limbo but instead of going under it we went over it) then I had to get myself through the hoop then run back and clap the other person's hand, and then they did the same thing I did.

I was on the Argentina team. I wore a blue shirt to school like the color of the flag from Argentina. We also played basketball and Matthew was the greatest, but then we got it, we did it. Matthew winned half of the game. He was on our team. I won the other half. So Argentina got a trophy and Matthew got a trophy.

There were moms and dads there and they watched their kids. They did the same games the kids did.

My friends at school are Chole and Louise and David and Harry and Harrison. Louise is my favorite friend. Louise is on holiday in Spain. Ellie is also going to Spain for holiday. I want to go on holiday to the seaside. Mom and Dad say that we will go to the beach while we're here. Dad wants to go to Portsmouth.

Mom needs to go now and put Julie down for her morning nap.

Yes, Caleb's words are those that I learned from Jan my friend in New Zealand. Also, lounge and conservatory were things I heard. Have you settled enough to have an email address of Jan's nephew who is working in London? Of course he grew up in NZ. Perhaps you'll have a nice fall (weather wise) My love, GIGI
