A Marvelous Lazy Morning
Last night after I went up to bed, I heard this horrible noise from Julie's room. I couldn't figure out if it was a cry or a cough - turns out a little seal had taken up residence in my daughter's crib. She sounded awful, so I brought her into our room. She has a horrible cough courtesy of Caleb. He was nice and shared germs with all of us that he got at school a couple of weeks ago. We're all dealing with varied intensities of coughing and phlegm. Poor Julie - at 4 a.m. she still had a fever. I couldn't get a definite reading, but it was over 100, so I gave her some ibuprofen. She was cooing and laughing, so you can imagine how sick the poor darling is. This morning I gave her some Tylenol. She's still cooing and yelling and chewing on her toes.
So today Steve drove himself to work since I don't really want to go out with 3 kiddos with various levels of sickies. I wasn't sure if it was germs or hayfever until Julie got her fever. The only downside of not having the van is not having easy access to air conditioning if it gets too hot. We'll have to walk to the grocery store if we want A/C. For now, we're sitting around in our PJs watching British cartoons and kid shows.
After I get this post up, I think I'll try to get some pictures posted.
More later!
