A Conversation Overheard

I was in my room and heard this exchange from the kitchen. Caleb was making toast for himself and Audrey and they were discussing the money the tooth fairy left for him last night for the tooth we yanked yesterday.

A: Did you get money?
C: God left me 2 quarters. Not the tooth fairy. That's a myth.
A: What's a myth?
C: It's like a rumor.
A: What's a rumor?
C: It's when one person at school tells something to somebody else and then it goes all over the school. It's like the game telephone but all over the world. You pass it on.
A: Like germs?

I love my kids. Who needs a muse when they're around?
