Having Difficulties
I've been trying to post pictures for a few days now and keep getting error messages from Blogger. Grrr. I'll keep trying, though.
This morning, like every Friday morning, I get the kids all bundled up (it's 36 degrees here) and I walk Caleb to school, then Audrey to school. The girls ride in the stroller the whole way and Caleb only walks the first half mile. To hear him tell it, he climbs Mt. Everest on the days I make him walk. Whiner.
Today after we got Caleb to school and I turned around and began heading to Audrey's school, I noticed that the stroller was driving weird. I assumed it was because Julie was hanging over the left side to see where we were going, but upon further investigation I discovered we had a massive flat on the left rear tire. Because of this, the stroller pulls mightily to the left and it's extra hard work to keep it going where I want it to go. Fortunately we have to pass back by our house on the way to preschool, so I figure I'll get the girls and the stroller in the SUV and go by the gas station on the way back from dropping Audrey off and air up the tire. It's only needed a bit of air on previous occasions of flats.
After I get snowsuit-clad Julie buckled into her car seat, and listen to Audrey tell me how hard it is to buckle a seat belt with mittens on, I wrestle the giant stroller into the back of the SUV (hard when the 3rd row of seats is being used). We delivered Audrey then stopped at the gas station.
The tire needs more than air. It needs a new tube. Bummer. Now I can't walk until I get a new tube. I'm tempted to investigate how well those no-flat numbers do. Anybody have experience with those?
So now I'm home and trying to talk myself into jumping rope for a few minutes. I should do something. I'm still in my workout clothes but haven't worked out. I should DO something. I guess I'll go do something, since I keep thinking I should. Intentional sacrifice, right?
