Yikes

Yesterday was the toughest day I've had in a while. And that's saying something. It seems like I had a million things that had to be done yesterday - research for a staff search committee at church, the meeting itself (but I skipped it), Caleb's poster for his camel project due today, calling or e-mailing my ladies from my Bible study (yes, it had to be done yesterday), picking up dry cleaning then mailing said dry cleaning because I sold it on eBay...just lots of random things.

So today should be easier. I'm going to work on my manuscript and hopefully get it into a shape I can take for critiquing tomorrow night at the LA writers' group then send off the finished product to the magazine on Friday or Saturday. I'm also going to try to figure out what clothes are clean and dirty from the trip this weekend. Usually it's not an issue, but since I wasn't with Steve and the kids, I have no idea what system he used to pack up. I know that they did laundry at one point, but I still don't know what's what.

I have a little bit before I need to get kids up, so I'm going to sign off so I can read a bit of my Bible study for next week. Don't want things piling up again!

P.S. Walt came through his surgery fine. Aaron said that his color even looked better yesterday post-surgery than it did pre-surgery. That's gotta be a good sign, right? Keep praying for the surgery to be a success, for Walt not to take a few steps backwards while he's healing (which does happen 25% of the time after this surgery) and that the fluid in his head will go away on its own and not require another surgery. Thanks for praying. They are amazing little boys.
