Why Julie Is So Darn Cute (And Audrey, Too)
Before I talk about Julie, I have an Audrey story:
A couple of weeks ago, she hurt her hand as I was loading her in the car. As usual, I asked her if I needed to amputate it.
Audrey questioningly: "What's amputate?"
Me matter-of-factly: "Cut off your hand."
Audrey calmly: "Don't cut off my hands because I'm very attached to them."
Now to Jules.
We went to the pool for a BBQ and a quick swim while Caleb was at a friend's b-day party. After we'd been there for an hour and a half, Julie looks around and says what sounds like, "Where Bubba?" I said, "At a friend's house." She said, "Oh," and continued eating her chip. Why is this cute? Two reasons. 1 - It's the first time she's asked a question. 2 - It took her 90 minutes to realize Caleb wasn't with us.
More Jules and Audrey.
On the way back from the pool, Julie kept saying, "Auddie! Auddie!" but Audrey was refusing to answer her. Finally I said, "Audrey, answer Julie."
Audrey sulkily: "What."
Julie: "Babble babble babble babble." (But it sounded like a real sentence in a foreign language.)
Audrey rudely: "I know! You've told me that six times already!"
Caleb is at a party, as I've mentioned before, so his cuteness won't be chronicled at this time.
