What a Fabulous Night's Sleep I Had...

...NOT.

10:30 p.m. - lights out. All seems well.

12:30 a.m. - awaken to Audrey yelling "Mommy!" from her room. Let her sleep in my room so she won't disturb Steve. He's in Caleb's room and Caleb is in my room.

2:00 a.m. ish - awaken to Caleb squishing me on my side of the bed. I give him a nudge and he wakes up and says accusingly, "Mom! You almost pushed me out of the bed!" Yeah, right.

4:00 a.m. ish - awaken to let the cat out and then had to answer questions from Caleb about the event.

5:23 a.m. - awaken to Julie's crying from her room. I walk in and her her saying "Ni ni! Ni ni!" which is her word for pacifier. Pull the crib away from the wall to find ni ni. Give it back to her, leave the room, Julie crying. But she got quiet soon. Come back to my room, shut drapes and turn off bathroom light in the hopes that darkness will encourage longer sleep from the children.

6:30 a.m. ish - awaken to Caleb asking me if he can get up and pour himself some milk. Explain that puking is very likely in his future, and tell him where the Sprites are. This wakes Audrey, who begins to wail that she's too scared to go into the garage alone to get a Sprite for herself. Weenie. Caleb gets up and goes with her.

Soon after this I have to resign myself to the fact that my night is over and I get up. Audrey is in one of her moods - I have a feeling she will lose her tickets soon and be banished. Julie is full of energy, Caleb seems fine. No spots yet and no big fever like last night. But I'm just waiting. I know it's coming.

Steve is still asleep. I had to go into Caleb's room to get something an hour ago and couldn't figure out where Steve's head was in the mound of person/covers on the bed. He's all covered up but I could hear him breathing, so I know he's in there somewhere.

On a completely different note, one of my cousins is up at my grandmother's house in Colorado. She has a loom that her mom is giving me. I told her I'd trade the loom for Audrey, but then I was made aware of the fact that dc (my dad) would have to take up arms to defend Auddie. I need to sign off now and give her a call to see what her thoughts are about coming to see us down here.
