Update!

Thank you for your prayers!

I just talked to my nephew. He is doing much better and says the fluid has stopped coming out of his ear. Praise God! Tomorrow they will set his collarbone (during the wee hours of the night our time). Prayers for this would be great. He is in pain, but says that the “pain” caused by the hospital food is worse than the pain from his collarbone. He still has his sense of humor. He told me about a dish he called “spinach delight” that didn’t sound delightful at all.

They’re talking about coming home next week. Yay!

I want to thank each of you for your prayers - the doctors said that it would take at least 5 days for the cerebral fluid to stop leaking and it stopped after THREE days. I am giving God the praise for this! Thank you, God, for hearing the cries of your children. I am rejoicing at how Jarrett is going to be able to look back at this experience and see how powerfully God was moving in the midst of it. Jarrett is a believer, and I pray that this whole time would serve to deepen his desire to walk with Christ and would spur him to action in that respect.
