Marvelous Adventures at Soccer Practice

Caleb is showing his "'Soccer Star" proclivities. Today the team had a little scrimmage. Three goals total were scored - and Caleb scored 2 of them! He also blocked a goal. He rocked! I'm planning on taking the video camera to the game on Thursday. We will get a "highlight reel" put together for viewing on this very blog.

Steve says that "Caleb was the only one who consistently kicked the ball not just towards the goal, but in it." Biased? But then after practice when we were sitting at the kitchen table, Caleb said something about how some other kids were better than he is because they know more about soccer. Steve and I just looked at each other and laughed. He acted all sad until we told him that we think he is wonderful!

Before practice, the coach had the kids run a lap and then do some jumping jacks and stretches. Caleb's jumping jacks were hilarious! He did 3 "jumps" for every "jack" - too funny! His little face gets all red when he just does a little physical activity - I guess he has my "red face" genes.

So this is our Tuesday evening. Kids are in bed and I'm watching "NCIS" and "American Idol" as simultaneously as is possible with our current TV setup. Julie is laying on the ottoman sucking her fingers. Loudly. Little "Drooly Julie" is going to need a lot of chew toys, that's for sure.

Signing off now to get a caffeine fix before bed - yes, I need caffeine before I go to sleep. Headaches abound otherwise.

Yea but is he any good? ;)

Way to go Caleb. And those goals are small targets!

April you need to post a schedule of games so we catch a few before it is over.

Aww... go K-Bear! Children with actual talent are nice because then you never have to feel like you're lying to them. ;)

Me and my dad are the same way. Sometimes we need caffeine just to go to sleep. Weird... I think so
