Mom's Update

Mom just called and the first words out of her mouth were: "They're perfect." They were allowed to go into the NICU after scrubbing up and donning gowns. Each baby was allowed 2 visitors, so Laura, Aaron, Mom and Dad all got to go in together. They were in there about an hour and Mom finally left the room because it was got too hot. She said the boys are hooked up to all sorts of equipment and even though they are at the same station, they each have their own nurse. There are 2 babies per station.

She also said she took some pictures (without the flash as the nurses requested), so hopefully I'll have some pictures of "Jumpin' John" and "Wild Walt" to post soon.

I've been tense ever since Mom first called with the news last night, but I actually broke down and cried when she called just now. I want so badly to be there with them. I'm going to sign off now and go knit some preemie hats and booties. I had to apologize to Aaron because the only yarn I have is green and yellow (Baylor colors) and he said, "They don't open their eyes much. They'll never know." So I guess I need to get some maroon and white yarn for when they do begin to look around more. :)
