Yesterday

Both kids had a good first day. Audrey didn't get in trouble and had a lot of fun. Caleb got to draw a monster (one of his favorite drawing subjects). She went from 8:30-11:30 and he went from 8-12. Today she's at home and he's at school for a full day.

The only snag I hit yesterday was with Julie. Audrey's school has a fabulous playground and Julie took it as a personal insult when I didn't let her get down and play with Audrey on the "whee" (slide). She cried the whole way home.

So when we got home, I got the Little Tykes slide/fort thing out of the shed and put it together in the living room. It's basically a 3.5' plastic square with a slide coming off it. Perfect for toddlers. She played on it for an hour straight.

Caleb has been delivered, I'm freshly showered and smelling nice, Jules is on her "whee" in the living room, and Audrey is about to play "Don't Break the Ice" with me. Not my favorite game, but I told her I would play. I need to put my face on soon because Audrey has a dentist appointment at 9:15. She's not thrilled about going, but I'm not giving her a choice.
