Yesterday Afternoon Was Horrible
I had training for my role in Community Bible Study yesterday until 12:45. It was a great time, I got to see friends I haven't seen all summer, and we ate an amazing pot luck lunch of appetizers.
About 11, I started to get a small headache. Nothing serious. Just a headache. Then about 11:30 I started to get the shakes. Minor. Again, no big deal.
By 1:30, I had run two errands and was heading home with what was shaping up to be the worst headache I've had in months. I ended up laying down all afternoon and evening, only getting up to get Caleb from school. I let Caleb play Nintendo all afternoon, Audrey play on the computer, but I put Julie down for what ended up being a 3+ hour nap. Steve came home a bit early and did pizza and macaroni & cheese for dinner.
By 7:30, I was feeling much better. I was able to read Caleb a bedtime story and then watch a movie. I woke up this morning a little stiff, so I think as soon as I have something in my stomach I'm going to take some ibuprofen. I don't want a repeat of yesterday. It was miserable.
And the worst part about it was that I just learned about the Los Alamos Writing Group and was going to go to a meeting last night with an acquaintance. Bummer. Now I'll have to wait until the week after Labor Day to go to a meeting.
Oh well.
On another note, we're finally having Audrey's birthday party tomorrow. Only a month after the fact. She's having a fairy party and the little girls will be making fairy wings and fairy wands. I need to get a few things finished up today (painting the wands pink) so everything is ready for little fingers to decorate tomorrow. Should be fun.

April,
I know a couple of folks who have do the Los Alamos Writer's Group. There is also a local group called the Sipapu Writer's Club which also puts out a local Lit. Mag called Sipapu Literary Explorations.
This is for Los Alamos and surrounding areas writers. Steve and I work with Lisa Dougherty's husband Eugene. She has a published novel now.
Anyway thought you might find it interesting.
Terry
