Weekend Adventures
We had an eventful 3-day weekend.
Friday we went school shopping in Santa Fe. All 5 of us went because I had to get clothes for most of us. We ate lunch at the Bumblebee Baja Cafe (very tasty) and hit the mall and Target. Caleb decided to sell his Fisher Price train set, so he got some money to buy a couple of video games.
Saturday we went to Alamosa to see Gigi, Briana and her boys, and Gigi's cousin Betty and her hubby Henry. Briana and her boys went to the Sand Dunes with us and we all played in the "river" - it's a wide, shallow creek that runs over (what else?) sand. All of the kids had fun and after showering off most of the sand at the dunes, we headed back to Gigi's. We spent a little time at my Uncle Boom's house seeing all their animals, jumping on the trampoline, and seeing the big hay bale truck he's fixing. Apparently the frame broke clean in half. Dinner at Gigi's, then we headed back home. Got home at 10:30 p.m.
Sunday we went to church and then I had a Mary Kay Spa party in the afternoon. We soaked our feet and applied all sorts of fun and girly-smelling things to them. Julie got very involved. So involved, in fact, that I had to take her clothes off and put a swim diaper on her. Pictures will follow.
Now the kids and I are just hanging out. Jules is sleeping, Audrey is playing with her Barbies, and Caleb is telling me that he wants a snack, but not the snack I'm recommending. Tough.
I'm going to go fold laundry now.
