Today's Star is Julie

Because she's 1!
She was the first child awake this morning. I had hoped the other 2 would wake up first so that they could wake her up by singing "Happy Birthday" but as it turned out, I took Julie to each kid's bed to wake them up. After she woke them up, they sang to her. So in total, she got 4 individual serenades and a group serenade. Then she'll also get a serenade at church tonight during dinner. That will be fun!
Steve just called...and he wasn't happy. He's working on tracking down all of the money stuff from the big trip. Last night he was up until midnight comparing what we spent to what the lab says we spent to what the lab has paid out. And he wasn't finished when he came to bed. I called him this morning about it to check on the mysterious £100 charge from Enterprise he discovered last night. He learned that both the Gatwick *and* Reading branches charged us. It was back when I sideswiped another van on one of those famously wide and ample streets in Tilehurst. Ha.
So then we start talking about the deposit on the house. He calls the leasing agent and discovers (BIG surprise) that the deposit is being held by request of the landlady because she has some deductions. Oooohh kay. She's the next person he calls and (BIG surprise) she just hasn't gotten around to getting the information to the leasing agent. For a whopping £30, she is holding up our deposit return...it was £2100. Grrrrr. Hopefully tomorrow the leasing agent will have the information needed to release the money back to us.
I'm starting again on Weight Watchers. I've actually been on WW since September, but it was weird in England. I used that as my excuse not to eat properly. My goal for this week is to actually enter everything I eat into my online points tracker. I did that yesterday and was shocked. Shocked. Even with eating properly, I'm still eating waaaay too much. So I'm serious about it now. Very serious. I'm going to buy into their ad campaign and "become and after and stay an after."
That's it for today. Caleb had a half day of school, so he's home now. Both big kids have eaten lunch and all 3 kids are now resting. The 2 big kids both have AWANA tonight and they *need* to rest. They both came home last week totally wasted.
Maybe more later when something exciting happens.

Happy Birthday Julie! Seems like you have been with us for a much longer time. Keep smiling, Precious.
