Audrey is the star today

Audrey - what a gem.

Last night at dinner we were working on her Bible memory verses for church tonight. The longer verse, "Lord, teach us to pray" was much easier for her to learn than "God is truthful" because I remembered the melody that goes with the little ditty for the first verse. I had to make up a song for the second verse and it didn't really catch on.

So as she's eating, she's singing "God is truthful" but in a somewhat disrespectful way. This is something that we are trying to teach her and Caleb: that we need to respect God when we pray and when we recite our memory verses. To this end, I tell her, "Audrey, we don't treat God's words from the Bible in a silly way." Steve asks her, "Do you understand? What is Mommy saying?"

Her answer: "Don't let Jesus hear us."
