The Part of the Story I Didn't Blog
The one part of our time in England that I kept mum on was my trips to the gym. I went 3 times a week for most of the time we were there. That's how I hurt my ankle and then my back.
I never mentioned it because I was afraid that I would fail at trying to lose weight. The last thing I wanted was to announce to the world that I was working out to lose weight, then not actually lose any weight.
I loved going to the gym because they had childcare. Usually it was just me and Julie, but Audrey would go occasionally and Caleb also went during the summer.
So far I've lost about 15 pounds. I'm not quite sure, since I haven't weighed on the scales at the doctor's office yet. I need to go in for a physical and I'll see my true progress then. But 15 isn't bad! Fifteen is actually great! I haven't been at this weight since I was pregnant with Caleb. I want to lose 45 more pounds. Yes, I have 45 more pounds to lose. And that's even 25 pounds heavier the weight that those lovely doctors' offices charts say I should weigh. Stupid charts.
That was my big secret from England. They have Weight Watchers over there, and I ate lots of WW lunches.
I feel good. I feel great, actually. The hair and the weight loss has really boosted my self-esteem. Not that I was lacking to begin with, but I feel fabulous! It's nice to begin to get out of the clothes that have the "W" after the size number. I *hate* that W. I'm going to banish it forever.
So now I have a bunch of W clothes that came home from England with us that I need to Ebay. I just need to get on the ball and do it. Plus Steve has stuff he wants to get rid of, too.

On another note: I'm slowly reclaiming my house. When we got home on the 22nd, we entered a pristine domicile. In less than 90 seconds it was pandemonium again. That's what 12 suitcases, 6 carry-ons, and especially 3 children will do to a house.
Today is the first day I've had solid time just to work on the house. I got Audrey's room more settled. We got everything out that wasn't hers since we had been using that room as Julie's storehouse. I think I might try to talk Steve into beginning work on the painting of the castle on Auddie's wall this weekend since it's a holiday weekend. I think she would really like that. I know I would feel like I'm making progress on things. Audrey is a good picker-upper, so I paid her a commission of $1. She was really happy to get paid and I was really happy to have her help.
So now I just have to wait for Caleb to get home from school so we can get his room straightened up. That will be a task. He has more garbage.

I feel as if this post is a little flat. Maybe I'm not inspired today. Maybe it's time to go back to cleaning now.
