A Marvellously Quick Update

For the most important update: Julie's first tooth finally broke through today! I can feel it when I poke my finger in her mouth. Mercifully she doesn't feel the need to bite said finger. She's now working on #2.

On to other news - Steve, Lynette & Nancy got to and from London just fine. They spent Monday night there and got to the Reading train station around 5.30 p.m. today. The kids and I went and picked them up there.

Tomorrow afternoon after Caleb gets out of school, we're all heading to London Waterloo station to ride the Eurostar in the Channel Tunnel to Paris. We'll be in Paris Wednesday night until early Saturday evening. I'm not planning on bringing the laptop, so we'll be out of touch for a while. I also don't know what kind of reception our cell phone will get. It might get reception, but they might charge and arm and a leg to use it. In the Republic of Ireland, our rates were 10 times greater than they are here, so we didn't use the phone at all.

Here's a link to some pictures of the hotel we'll be at in Paris: http://www.cybevasion.com/hotels/france/paris/hotel_photos_francais_397.html

I'm going to go now. It's 7.17 p.m. and I haven't had dinner. Come to think of it, I didn't have much of a lunch either. Chow time!

I want to hear from Auddie and Caleb what it's like to ride a train under the ocean.
