Another Marvelous Milestone

Julie is working on her 2 bottom teeth! I've been checking often for the last couple of weeks and finally today I saw signs that 2 are trying to pop through. Not long now!

It's 5.47 p.m. and we're watching a show called "Big Cook, Little Cook" while waiting for Steve to come home. It's a cooking show for kids. Little Cook is a huge spaz and he makes me laugh. He's supposed to be about 8 inches tall, but he's a giant goof! Today they're making butterflies out of (get this) sausages and purple cabbage. Shudder. Like Dr. Bubba wrote, their "bangers" are nasty mushy sausages, and they boiled the cabbage then put some cabbage-sausage-bread crumb mixture in each cabbage leaf. I'm sorry, but the words "butterfly" and "cabbage & sausage" DO NOT go together. NASTY - now they've used chives (not so bad) as antennae but then they used RAISINS for the ends of the antennae. YUCK. Normally their stuff isn't this unappetizing.

Report on the spelling test for last week: 5/10 right. Not so good. When I looked at his test, I realized that he spelled everything correctly, but he didn't write the letters correctly, so they were counted wrong. Understandable. I think he missed out on the letter-writing practice that the kids here get when they're 4. Oh well. No big deal. We'll just make sure to practice lots. Fortunately he's cooperative at this point.

All for now!
