8 Days Left to Pack for Our Marvelous Adventure

Thank you Terry Adams! He fixed my html code so that I can have a clock on my blog! His blog is the "Dr. Bubba Blog" listed over there on the side. I listed my little brother's blog, too. Had to...what kind of sister would I be if I didn't?

We had the joint b-day party Saturday afternoon. Dinosaurs vs. Princesses. Caleb even talked about the time during the party when the princesses "attacked." I don't know what that means - all I know is that there were 3 little princesses, 4 rowdy boys, and 1 soon-to-be 3rd grade girl.

I just uploaded a ton of pictures from this weekend. Here are some of my favorites:

Watching TV with Daddy.

The Princesses: Audrey, Bailey, & Jenny (who wore her little tutu under her church dress on Sunday - too cute with the little stars peeking out!).

Little Cowboy.

Caleb got a dinosaur egg from the Johnsons: RandyBob, DebbieBob, MattBob, and LukeBob. When you put it in water, it hatches slowly over a period of a couple of days. These pictures are the progression so far of the dino egg. Both big kids are enjoying watching it and surprisingly enough aren't reaching in the water and messing with it. I mess with it, though. Can't keep my hands off the darn thing!
The dino in the background was a gift from one of Caleb's buddies. It's a wooden "Skin Dinosaur." It is textured like reptile skin. It's made of wood and it took Caleb and I about 15 minutes to put it together. We didn't glue it, so we can take it apart and do it again if he wants. He was a little disappointed that it wasn't a T-Rex, so I had to talk up the Velociraptor. When Steve got home from a church thing, Caleb was telling him, "It's darn mean and really smart." This was his paraphrase of what I told him. Of course, my only knowledge about Velociraptors comes from Jurassic Park - and we all know how accurate it was!

The rest of the dino pictures are going to have to go in another post. I can't get the other 2 pictures to upload. Hmmm. Oh well.

The plan for today is to do all the laundry, then start packing winter clothes to go with us. I also need to make a grocery run. I just made our menu for our last days in the U.S. Felt kind of weird.

Signing off!

Caleb looks like someone else familiar, with his boots and cowboy hat.....

I remember that once, a paleontologist came to visit my school. I asked him a question about a dinosaur called Deinonychus, that was a kind of velociraptor. In answering the question, he hopped around on one food and karate-kicked, to show us how the dinosaur hunted. It was funny!
