SNOW

In case you can't figure out what that yellow thing is, it's a 12-inch ruler. Two inches are all that are visible above the snow on the recycle bin lid. That thing on the other trash can is my coffee mug. I was taking a break.
School was closed today. I awoke at 5:58 a.m., turned on the TV because I figured there would be at least a delay today. We got about 2-3 inches between 6:45 and 8:15 last night and I knew the snow wasn't letting up. I saw the news and went back to sleep. Before the kids went to bed last night, I told them to stay in their beds and snooze until I came to get them in case school was delayed. So they stayed back in their rooms and entertained each other until I got up at the fabulous hour of 8:45 a.m. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! I even got 2 phone calls (one at 7 and the other at 8:15) and was able to get back to sleep.
We're just hanging out today. I shoveled snow for an hour, then had all 3 kids go outside and play for a while. Julie kept getting her mittens wet, so we had to keep changing mittens. When we ran out of mittens, she decided it was time to come inside.
