48 More Hours In This House - Marvelous!
I woke up this morning still with the stabbing anxiety-born pain in my lower back. Lovely. I had to get Steve to pull me out of bed. After a breakfast of chocolate crepes, we all trooped upstairs and started packing. Sorta. Mom entertained the kids while Steve packed and I watched. But we were all in our room and that was fun.
We got the kids' clothes set aside for the next few days and got toys sorted. Translation: we binned a bunch of junk and put their toys to go home in a stack. Mom's taking a bath now, Julie is asleep, the kids are watching "Lady & the Tramp," Steve is working the super-mega-brainmeltingly hard sudokus in Mom's book that she brought over and I'm freezing my fingers off typing. We're still using the computer on a trivet beside an open window, but it seems to work. I can't type as fast as I'd like, but it beats the alternative - no computer at all because it overheats.
So that's it for now. Time for snacks.
