No Catchy Title Jumps to Mind...I'm Still Shocked
I caught Caleb this morning throwing a rock through our neighbor's window. On purpose. Just because. He thought it would be fun. He and a little friend did the same thing 2 days ago, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I caught him red-handed (or should I say "rock" handed).
Steve and the other boy's dad are setting up a meeting this afternoon/evening between the dads and boys. The other boy confessed to breaking the window on Wednesday - it's the smaller of the 2 windows. So we have a large (maybe 5x5 or larger) window we get to replace. Caleb is going to be working that one off for a looooong time. Good thing we just went to the toy store last weekend with his money, otherwise it would now be MY money.
More later.

One thing I really didn't like about teaching 2nd graders was that they would make poor choices sometimes. After teaching angelic 1st graders and watching them grow into 2nd graders that made choices that I knew they knew were bad, I finally decided that 2nd graders just need to strike out to find their independence sometimes. I'm sorry Caleb made a poor choice. I know it's trite, but his consequence will give him an opportunity to learn.
