The Hair
I'm still not sure about my hairdo. I was envisioning longer layers than I ended up with. Hmmm. I bought 2 new styling products today - clay and spikey gel. This is added to the clear pomade, and assorted stuff for longer straight hair. I will have to experiment to see what works the best. I put some pomade in Julie's hair and gave her a freaky looking mohawk. She's pleased as punch.

The bangs are jaggedy on purpose, the hair above the ear actually reaches down to the bottom of the ear, but doesn't look quite right that way. I re-styled it about 30 minutes ago into this look, with most of the hair on top pushed forward. I'm hoping it will grow into what I want. At least it's shorter (what I wanted) and different (also what I wanted). It will be great for summer. Plus all those split ends I created from all the blow-drying and flat-ironing are gone. That's good news.
Shifting gears now...
On our way back from Spring Break, we stopped in Brownwood for lunch and refueling. Across the street from the gas station was this establishment:
I love Starbucks. But this insults my sensibilities. In case you don't recognize the architecture, this is an old Taco Villa building. In my opinion, Taco Villa is the Cadillac of Mexican fast food restaurants. We had one in Canyon and I have fond memories of riding there in the backseat of my friend Melissa's 1969 Camaro, my other friend Mikey riding shotgun. Sometimes I would drive the land yacht, otherwise known as a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88. But the point is I love Taco Villa. I took it personally when Taco Villa went out and Taco Smell came in. To this day I have antagonistic feelings towards Taco Hell. So when I saw this, a strange marriage of my current and past epicurean pleasures, I was insulted. Don't know why.
Can't spell check at the moment, so ignore any blatant (or subtle) errors.

I love your hair! Julie's--not so much. But I'm proud of the fact that she has enough to do that with. Yes, and the Starbuck's isn't right. It just isn't right.---Judy
Taco Villa, Taco Buenco, Taco USA, Taco Bell .... all are my favorites.
Julie really sells that Dr. Seuss hairdo. Maybe yours would look better if you had a smile like that.
